WHAT IS A REPORT ?
As a noun :
an account given of a particular matter, especially in the form of
an official document, after thorough investigation or consideration
by an appointed person or body
Massey University :
A report is a specific form of writing that is organized around
concisely identifying and examining issues, events, or findings that
have happened in a physical sense, such as events that have
occurred within an organization, or findings from a research
investigation.

REPORT VS ESSAY
A report is different from an essay.
In the report, there is a creation of headings/structure where an information
is organized. The headings construct a body of the report.
Report structure example :
1. Introduction
2. Discussion
2.1 Technological/methodology benefits
2.1.1 Efficiency
2.1.2 Access to monitoring
2.2 Technological/methodology weaknesses
2.2.1 Disconnections
2.2.2 Lack of face-to-face support
3. Conclusion
4. References

REPORT VS ESSAY
While in writing an essay, author decide the order of information in
the (essay's) body.
Author may have more

freedom in structuring an essay.

However, essay can also written with organization as a report :

Introduction > Main Body > Conclusion.

TYPES OF REPORT
1. Business report
2. Lab-work report
3. Final study report
4. Project report
5. etc.
Note : each kind of report may have a specific or particular
structure. You must check it first before you make your report.

RESEARCH REPORT
A report that informs about research findings are specific organized, and
called a paper. The paper can be published in a journal or a conference.
Some organizer of journal or conference need the authors to write their paper
in LaTeX form (https://www.latex-project.org).
International journal and international conference event are definitely
delivered in English.
So, English is a must in this situation to be well studied in writing and
speaking. Your competency in English can be measured by TOEFL or IELTS
test.

paper and collect it without a name

RESEARCH REPORT
Example :
1. journal www.ieee.org, www.sciencedirect.com , www.acm.org,
etc.
2. conferences : www.icitee.ugm.ac.id, www.citee.ft.ugm.ac.id ,
www.ibiomed.ugm.ac.id , etc.
3. Indexing: example www.scopus.com make the conference or
the journal bonafide.

ASSIGNMENT
Make an essay about your holiday activity or a project that you
made before.
Write in English and translate in Indonesian too min. 150 words both
English and Indonesian without google translate.
