Disassembly
Remove bolts from lifting bracket and top cover
Remove top cover and drive assembly
Disassembly
Inspect the wear ring and O ring
Replace the wear ring if severely grooved
Use anti-seize compound when installing a new wear ring
Disassembly
Remove the hydraulic motor and inspect O ring
Flip bearing housing upside down and drain oil into drain pan
Insert shaft securing tool (HT part#9001) into splined end of shaft
Flip bearing housing with tool installed and insert into bench vise
Disassembly
Remove impeller screw and retaining washer
Remove impeller by turning CCW
Inspect wear plate. Replace if severely worn
Inspect O ring
Disassembly
Remove rotary shaft seal and inspect
Remove stationary seal seat
Replace mechanical seal assy. if worn
Disassembly
Remove snap ring from bearing housing
Place drive assy. in hydraulic press
Apply minimal even heat to housing while pressing
shaft and bearing assembly out of housing.
Disassembly/Reassembly
Inspect ball bearings and replace if worn
Use hydraulic press to press bearings off and on shaft
Apply minimal even heat to bearing housing
Reassembly
While housing is warm, gently slide shaft assy. into housing
Install snap ring into groove above bearing
Reassembly
Insert shaft holding tool, flip housing assy. and secure in vise
Unwrap new mechanical seal
Seal Arrangement
Reassembly
Reassembly
Apply a few drops of clean hydraulic oil to the face of the stationary seal
Lubricate rubber bellows (with rubber lube) on rotary seal IMPORTANT! Keep
faces clean at all times or improper sealing will occur
Reassembly
Carefully slide rotary seal over shaft until the rotary face mates with the
stationary face
IMPORTANT! Keep faces clean at all times or improper sealing will occur
Reassembly
Apply anti-seize to threads on shaft
Install spring and retaining washer onto rotary seal
Reassembly
Install impeller onto shaft and hand tighten
Install retaining washer and locking screw
Reassembly
Using Torque Wrench, torque locking screw to 40 lbs. ft (58 joules)
Install complete drive assembly (with O ring) onto volute
Reassembly
Slowly fill bearing housing with clean hydraulic oil
Fill to spill point of plug hole only!
Apply thread sealant to oil plug and install
Reassembly
Install O ring onto hydraulic motor and install motor. (Note orientation)
Tighten motor bolts
Hydraulic Motor
Orientation
Reassembly
Be sure 1 wear plate screw has vent hole
This will prevent recessed impeller cavity from becoming air bound
Install pigtail hoses onto hydraulic motor
Install lifting bracket onto pump
