Black Hole
A Black hole is an area in space in which the pull of gravity is so
great that not even light can escape it once it enters. Since the
escape velocity from a black hole is greater than light, escaping it
is impossible.
A black hole has only a few characteristics:
(1) mass (which determines size)
(2) angular momentum (spin)
(3) electric charge
A black hole must have at least 3 stellar masses, otherwise it
could not form on its own. Black holes are everywhere! As far as
astronomers can tell, there are probably millions of black holes in
our Milky Way Galaxy alone. That may sound like a lot, but the
nearest one discovered is still 1600 light years away a pretty
fair distance, about 16 quadrillion kilometers! Thats certainly too
far away to affect us. The giant black hole in the center of the
Galaxy is even farther away: at a distance of 30,000 light years,
were in no danger of being sucked in to the vortex.
If the human fall into a black hole, the human are doomed. Sure,
once the human fall in that human can never get back out, but it
turns out the human will probably be dead before the human get
there.
