What is a personality
type?

A personality type is a collection of


personality traits that are thought to occur
together consistently through a pattern of
responses.
It is a psychology term that refers to the way
people perceive things and make decisions.

Why are personality types important?


They allow us to assign the best tasks and
jobs based on what people are good at
They provide better understanding of
others and therefore better conflict
resolution
They improve strategy by making the best
use of human resources

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator


The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or MBTI is
a test that tries to find out how a person
absorbs information and makes decisions.
It is made of four different dichotomies or
personality descriptions that identifies a
persons preferences.
