INTRODUCTION
The first ever website was published on August 6, 1991and its function was to
explain the world wide web project and giving information on how users could set up
a web server and teach people how to create their own websites.
A website is location connected to the Internet that maintains one or more web
pages.
It is intended to provide detailed information about an organization, or a business,
products and or services.
It is accessible and open to everyone.

This is a website for the university of Ghana. The website publishes every
information with regards to the university in general. Has links leading to
information about staff, alumni and students.
Staff: has a database where you can get in touch with staff of the institution.
Students: information pertaining the student body
Alumni: information pertaining past students.
The general webpage has news regards the university mostly news with regards
upcoming events and announcements.
The university of Ghana website is an academic website and hence makes an impact on
its audience:
1. It informs students and the general public about upcoming events
2. It serves as the main platform for notifying students who applied and are admitted.
3. It has detailed information about the school in general, information such as the contact
details, information about the courses offered and the vacant courses in the university.

This website however has a significant impact on its audience and some

There is a subscription button at the lower right corner of the home page,
which when subscribed to, provides the subscriber with notifications on
every latest news posted on the website.
Assessing to measure whether the website had an impact on their audience:
it was found that, the website was left hanging without feedbacks from
the public on most of the posts on the page despite the high viewership.
The audience were actively involved on the social media pages instead.
