SOCIAL CAPITAL
Three different groups of social capital concepts are
discussed: trust, ease of cooperation, and network.
The three groups lead to different measurement methods.
Some measures are theory based, while others are easy-to-use
proxies. All methods are related.
The social capital dream is that all definitions try to catch
aspects of the same phenomenon, so that all measures tap the
same latent variable. It is discussed whether this dream is
likely to come true.

KNOWLEDGE CAPITAL
also called intellectual capital, is the intangible asset that
represents valuable ideas, methods, processes and other
intuitive talents that belong to a company.

HUMAN CAPITAL
Human capital is a measure of the economic value of an
employee's skill set.
This measure builds on the basic production input of labor
measure where all labor is thought to be equal.
The concept of human capital recognizes that not all labor is
equal and that the quality of employees can be improved by
investing in them; the education, experience and abilities of
employees have economic value for employers and for the
economy as a whole.

DIVIDE AND SOCIAL CAPITAL

Digital divide refers to economic and social unfairness
towards getting access concerning information and
communication technologies which varies from country to
country etc.
Whereas social capital is the joint value of all social
networks and the preferences that arise from these
networks in assisting each other.

DIVIDE AND HUMAN CAPITAL

The Human Activity Fund is a concept central to the
socioeconomic metabolic flow-fund framework and it is
related, besides human capital, to one of the newest
sources of inequality, namely the digital divide.
The digital divide is a result of the IT Revolution and
recent research has associated it with the rewiring of the
human brain.
Poverty and economic growth are interconnected research
fields via the standard concept human capital.

DIVIDE AND KNOWLEDGE

CAPITAL
With internet cafes popping up in ever more remote towns
and villages, and barriers due to gender, age, etc.
reducing in many countries, the digital divide appears to
be shifting from a gap in access/connectivity to a
'knowledge divide'.
