eHealth is a digital platform for monitoring specially sensitive patients
(seniors) who require personalized and direct attention. Thanks to eHealth, vital constants can be monitored in real time and in a remote way using: 1) wireless devices (wearables) and a control station that can be installed in any patient home, or 2) a smartphone application.
The wireless device called eWihem (Wireless Health Monitor) gathers
patient vital signs (such as, their heart rate, blood pressure, blood sugar level, temperature and other special parameters). eWihem sends data to the control station called eWhomo (Wireless Home Monitor) or to the Smartphone app (eWhomo App). eWhomo analyses and organizes the information and finally it is transmitted to the eHealth Server, installed in the corresponding health system infrastructure (healthcare facilites, such as hospitals, health centres, etc).
Whenever one of the vital constants is outside of the established
range, eWhomo generates an alert for that patient and depending of its relevance it will alert the emergency services automatically, so an ambulance can be sent to the patients exact location (in the street or at home). The alert details (timestamp, patient status, and their geographical coordinates) will be received directly in the Smartphone of the emergency service staff thanks to eCeas.

eHealth eWihem
eWihem is the patients personal device
that periodically monitors his vital signs. eWihem collects data, performs some data processing and transmits this data for further processing. The sensors of eWihem include a heart rate monitor, a thermometer, a blood sugar level monitor, etc. When a command is issued to transmit the vital data, eWihem processes and summarises the collected data. The summarised data is transmitted to eWhomo when a request is received.
