BACKGROUND OF THE RESEARCH

The researcher is interested to do the research because the


researcher believe that if the student has had many
vocabulary and the student has mastered vocabulary
before the student write and develop the ideas from word
into sentence and from the sentence into paragraph. It will
help the student is easier to make good sentences clearly
in english especially in writing.

FORMULATION OF THE PROBLEM

Is there any significant correlation


between vocabulary mastery and writing
student achievement for the eight grade
in SMP Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau ?

OBJECTIVE OF THE RESEARCH

The objective of this research is to find out


wheather or not there is a significant correlation
between vocabulary mastery and writing student
achievement at SMP Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau.

The subject of this research reffered to the eight


grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau

SIGNIFICANCES OF THE RESEARCH


For the teachers

The students can write well in english.


The students have motivate to study writing more seriously in terms
of increasing their writing achievement.
For the researcher

The researcher herself will increase her knowledge.


The researcher get experiences from this research.
The reseacher can have better understanding from this research .
