Course Description

This course introduces students to

the principles, methods and
techniques in teaching literature. This
course focuses on two important
points in the teaching of literature in
the secondary school. The first is the
consideration of the thoughtprocesses behind the development of
the classroom teachers philosophy
for teaching literature and how this,
in turn, effects the choices the
teacher makes for facilitating the
students learning. The second is to
apply the principles, methods and
techniques in teaching literature in
an actual demonstration. This course
aims to equip students with the
techniques and strategies to use
specifically for a literature class.
