political theory or system is called Ideology.
George Lewis says:
"Ideology is a plan or program which is based upon
philosphy".

IDEOLOGY OF PAKISTAN
Pakistan is an Ideological state and the
ideology of Pakistan is an Islamic ideology.
Its basic principle being:
"The only sovereigner is Allah".
Islam acted as a nation building force before the
establishment of Pakistan. Ideology of Pakistan
basically means that Pakistan should be a state
where the Muslims should have an opportunity to
live according to the faith and creed based on the
Islamic principles

Quid-e-Azam once said:

"Pakistan was created the day the first Indian
national entered the field of Islam".
From the above statement ,it is clear that Ideology
of Pakistan is an Islamic one.

Allama Iqbal said:

Nations are based with religion; not with
territories. So we are separate nation because we
have our own ideology.

TWO NATION CONCEPT

The fundamental concept of Ideology is that Muslims
should get a separate identity. They should have a
separate state where they could live according to Islamic
rules and principles ,profess their religion freely and
safeguard Islamic tradition
Quid-e-Azam

said:

"The Muslims demand Pakistan where they can rule in

accordance with their own system of life ,their cultural
development ,their traditions and Islamic laws."

Aims and objective of the

Establishment of Pakistan

Enforcement of the sovereignty of theGod almighty:

The Islamic state is built up on theconcept of the

sovereignty of the God Almighty. The prime objectiveof
the demandfor Pakistan was theestablishment ofa state
where Almighty Gods supremacy could be enforced.
TheQuad-e-Azam said that: "We did not demandPakistan
to acquire a piece of land, but we wanted a homeland
where we could introduce Islamic principles

Establishment of Islamic democracy:

Islam has given an ideal concept off democracy which is
distinctively different from the western concept. In Islam
democratic system everyone is equal and no one enjoys a
privileged position on thebasis of his social status, colour or
creed.
One of the main objectives ofthe freedom movement was
that the Muslims of the sub-continent wanted a country
wherethe ideal system of Islamic democracy could be
installed

Protection of Muslim image and identity:

In the United India theMuslims were dominated by the
Hindus in every social field. The Muslimswere not ina
position tocompete with theHindusbecause of their
backwardness in education and politics. The Hindus had
adopted aprejudicial attitude which blocked all channels to
prosperity and progress for the Muslims. The national image
and identity of the was ingreat jeopardy because of the
Hindu hatred and antagonism.

Allama Iqbal said:

You must not equate your community along with the
western community. The nation of prophet is unique in its
composition

Protection of Muslimculture and civilization:

The Muslims were always a separate nation because of their
distinctive cultural values and patterns. They were easily
distinguishable from other nations on the basis of their social
behaviors. The Muslim culture, civilization and literature
were the living and proud symbols of the Muslims identity as
a separateand distinct nation. Although the Muslims lived
with Hindus and othernations for centuries, yet they proudly
main tend their separate image.

Allama Iqbal said:

Islam guides the mankind in every aspect of worldly life and
therefore must be enforced in an Islamic state as a code of
life

Establishment of a balanced economic system:

The economic condition ofthe Muslims, before partition,
was deplorable. The Hindus had monopolized commerce and
trade. The Muslims were not in a position to enter in
thebusiness and trade because of biasedpolicy of
government. Afterthe war of Independenceof 1857, the
British Government hadbanned Muslims entry into
government service.

Quaid-e-Azam says:
With faith, discipline and selfless devotion to duty, there is
nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.

Two nation theory:

The entire freedom movement revolved around two nation
theory which became the basis of demand for Pakistan. It
meant that the Muslims were a separate nation with their
distinct culture, civilization, literature, history religion and
social values.
Quid-e-Azam said:
" The Muslims are a nation by every right to establish their
separate homeland. They can adopt any means to promote
and protect their economic social, political and cultural
interests."

Urdu hindi controversy:

Urdu-Hindi controversy 1867 unfolded many unsaid stories

for the Muslims of India who were expecting to live in
amity with the Hindus and other communities in the long
run. Even the Muslims with the moderate views were
convinced at last that that Hindus and Muslims could not
be friends with each other as they have different
religions, rituals, culture and even languages. In 1867,
some Hindus in theUnited Provinces of Agra and
Oudhduring theBritish RajinIndiabegan to demand
thatHindibe made an official language in place ofUrdu.
