Course Overview
After completing this course, you will be able to:
Identify basic NetScaler architecture, including hardware and components.
Perform the initial NetScaler setup and configuration.
Explain the different components and considerations used in basic networking.
Set up NetScaler for basic load balancing.
Explain when high availability should be implemented.
Secure your NetScaler.
Student Introductions
Introduce yourself to the class. Include the following information:
Course Prerequisites
Intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP and of the OSI model
Experience with network devices, networking protocols and aspects of application and site
architecture
Moderate exposure to UNIX or Linux
Exposure to basic systems administration concepts, including logging, software upgrade
procedures and high availability operations
Familiarity with web server software
Knowledge of network security threats and site protection concept
An understanding of basic concepts related to server load-balancing and content switching is
recommended
