WITH FIXTURES SUCH AS HIGH
END SYSTEM'S DL3.

THESE FIXTURES CONSIST OF A

BRIGHT LCD OR DLP PROJECTOR
MOUNTED ON A MOVING YOKE,
MUCH LIKE THAT OF AN
ORDINARY MOVING HEAD.
THESE FIXTURES ALSO
CONTAIN AN INTEGRATED
MEDIA SERVER, WHICH ALLOWS
FOR MILLIONS OF COLOUR
CHOICES, ENDLESS LIBRARIES
OF GOBO-LIKE IMAGES, AND
PROJECTION OF IMAGES AND
VIDEO

IT IS EASY TO SEE THE APPEAL OF THESE SYSTEMS:

THEY ARECOST-EFFECTIVE. They allow designers to createDynamic
visuals easily and quickly. The only limit is a designer's imagination.
THEY ARE EXPANDING. They are helping video to evolve from simply
being the projection of IMAG and Powerpoint presentations to being part
of the creative design - to being another tool for visually enhancing
productions.
THEY ARE UNIFYING. As the role of video changes, these systems allow
video to be tightly integrated into the lighting and scenic elements of
productions.
THEY CAN BE SIMPLIFYING: in some situations replacing multiple fixtures
that might have otherwise been required to create intricate backgrounds

STEP 1:- SIGNAL CONVERSION:

Accepts both analog or digital
signal
All signals must be converted into
digital
The digital signal, enables mirrors
to tilt towards (On) or away from
(Off) light source.

Rapid Switching allows up to 1024 shades of gray reflections
Digitalized video signal entering DMD get converted into
highly detailed gray-scale image

STEP 3:- COLOUR CREATION

Color is added as white light from the lamp passes
through a color wheel filter
Color Wheel RED, GREEN & BLUE
mirrors on DMD are tilted on for the exact amount of
time required for each basic color
Only 1 color is shined onto DMD at a time
When spinning fast enough, human eyes blend
alternating flashes to view more colors in the projected
image.
