INTRODUCTION
As industrialization continues to materialize, technology tends to play a very significant role
in the society. Technological innovations like process automation have contributed a lot to
the progress of various industries because of its ability to cater more efficient and accessible
services.
Enrollment is the formal process of initiating attendance to a particular school, or of
becoming eligible to attend by fulfilling certain academic requirements. The idea behind an
enlistment system is not a new concept; it runs hand-in-hand with an enrollment system.
In the case of Ramon Magsaysay Technological University - San Marcelino Campus
(RMTU-SMC), wherein the Registrar Department uses a manual system of enlistment,
organizing data becomes difficult, ill-timed and laborious. Students also find it inconvenient
to spend long periods filling out forms and waiting turns during enrollment; associating
undesirable results to the highly involved human intervention in the manual system.
The study in particular will concentrate on measuring the effectiveness of the official website
with online enlistment system for RMTU-SMC. It shall allow students to register, view and
reserve available subjects online. It could also be used as a local domain for the university to
view and access records as well as post announcements such as school events or activities.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

How do the enrollment administrators describe the Official Website with Online Enlistment System in terms of:
functionality;
convenience;
accuracy; and
security?
How do the students describe the Official Website with Online Enlistment System in terms of:
functionality;
convenience;
accuracy; and
security?
Is there a significant difference between how the students describe the level of effectiveness of the Official Website with Online
Enlistment System and the question discussed in Item No. 1?

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

To improve the current enlistment system of the university by creating a
website that can fulfill the purpose and function of subject reservation without
the hassle and delay;
To help the university eliminate data loss, unnecessary procedures and waste
of resources and time during enlistment;
To develop a way of adding, retrieving, processing and updating data for the
student and the school; and
To ensure that the generated records are timely, accurate, secured and reliable

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

Beneficiary
The proposed system once implemented, will help the university persuade new, incoming
students to enroll. It will as well provide the enrollment administrators easy access to the
students profiles making it easy for them to organize, update and retrieve necessary information
with just few clicks.
It will also benefit the students of RMTU-SMC for it will allow them to register and reserve
subjects for the current term online, minimizing the time and effort they exert during enrollment.
Future Researchers
Future researchers can also use this study as a guide or reference in their own efforts at any
proposal or project. This study can complement to their programming knowledge and logical
stimulation that will help them develop and/or enhance their future theses.

SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS

Upon entering the website, a student will be able to view some announcements
from the Admin Office as well as some information about the university, but in
order to view the enlistment details and access for a subject reservation; a
student is required to register and log in.
Meanwhile, the administrator or any authorized person can access all controls
in the website since they are the ones who are entitled to head and update the
information.
The proposed system does not cover any payment transaction and online
viewing of grades.

HYPOTHESIS

There is no significant difference between how the students and enrollment

administrators of RMTU-SMC described the level of effectiveness of the official
website with online enlistment system.
