objectives :

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:


1) Listen to the recital of the poem The Living Photograph and fill in
the blanks with the correct word.
2) Recite the poem with correct pronunciation and intonation.
3) List down at least two moral values from the poem.

Previous knowledge: Students have learned about


other poems from the syllabus in the previous class.

Materials required for lesson: Pictures of a person


crying at a funeral, projector, speakers and whiteboard.

Procedures

Preparation (3

minutes)
What teacher will do:
Teacher shows a picture of a person
crying at a funeral.
Teacher asks the students several
questions related to the picture.

Teacher distributes a worksheet containing the poem
with some omitted words to the students.
Teacher asks the students to listen to the recital of
the poem attentively and fill in the blanks while
listening.
Teacher pastes the poem on the whiteboard and
asks the students whether they get all the words
correct.
Teacher asks students to recite the poem together
out loud.
Teacher discusses the meaning of the poem stanza
by stanza.

message to console the writer of the poem
who had lost her grandmother.
