DETERMINANTS TO EFFECTIVENESS

PROCUREMENT
CONTRACT
MANAGEMENT
Successful contract management and completion is often
defined, as procurement of the right item, in the right
quantity, for the right price, at the right time, with the
right quality, from the right source (Thai, 2004).
Prager (1994) contends that proper and effective
management and monitoring of contracts helps improve
the quality of goods and services and reduces
procurement cost thus achieving three broad goals:
quality products and services, timely delivery of products
and services, and cost effectiveness (within budget).
