INTRODUCTION
Hypothesis facilitate the extension of
knowledge in an area. It delimits the field of the
investigation.
The hypothesis enable the researcher to relate
logically known facts to intelligent guesses
about unknown conditions.
Hypothesis provide direction to the research.
Hypothesis provide the bases for reporting the
conclusions of the study.

MEANING OF HYPOTHESIS
The word HYPOTHESIS consists of two words
HYPO and THESIS.

THESIS

Hypothesis offers a solution of the problem

that is to be verified empirically and based on
some rationale.

The hypothesis is precisely defined as a

tentative or working proposition suggested as
a solution to a problem.

The final hypothesis which fits all the

or to its retention.

CONCLUSION
Hypothesis has a very important
place in research although it
occupies a very small space in the
body of a thesis. It help in
deciding the direction in which the
researcher has to proceed. So that
the researcher work selectively
and have very realistic approach
to the problem. Thus hypothesis
provide the bases for reporting
the conclusion of the study.
