Leiomyoma
RULE IN
ID: 40 years old, female
CC: multiple pulmonary nodules
PE: BMI of 34.7
PFT: no evidence of obstruction or
restriction with normal inspiratory flow-
volume loop
Initial chest x-ray: bilateral multiple
pulmonary nodules
CT scan: multiple nodular lesions, varying
in size, in all lobes of both lungs
RULE OUT

Rare (with less than 200 cases recorded


before 2010)
Majority of cases are asymptomatic
To completely rule out, an OB/Gynecologic history is needed since
cases of BML usually precede a hysterectomy or myomectomy
(averaging 3months to 20 years) in the management of a leiomyoma.
