TIME DELAY RELAY

A. DEFINITION

TDR is also referred as a time delay relay, It is often called TIMER.

The working principle of Time Delay Relays are as timer or slow down
(delay) is required to contact - NO or NC contacts in order to operate normally.

It can be concluded when the coil has been given a voltage source then
after a delay of a few seconds / minutes / hours (time specified), actively
contact - contact NO or NC normally.
TIME DELAY RELAY

SINGLE TIMER

Single timer or time control components and separate contactors. This

component is an electronic component comprising a coil and have some
contact - NO contact or contacts - contacts NC working time based on the coil
*NOTE
The use of timers in a series of control there is different
use in older brand.

but this type should not be connected directly to the

contactor in order for the drive time can be assisted by
a coil on the contactor itself.
ON DELAY

On Delay is a timer that should be

connected directly to the contactor and if
the contactor coil works (ON), the timer
also works (ON).
OFF DELAY

Off Delay has a working principle that

works if contactor coil works (ON) the
timer has not worked (OFF), when the
contactor coil is not working (OFF), then
Off Delay will work (ON).

CONCLUSION

TDR (Time Delay Relays), especially installations requiring

setting time automatically.

This control equipment can be combined with other control

equipment, for example by MC (Magnetic Contactor),
Thermal Over Load Relay, and others.

Part timer input is usually expressed as a coil (Coil) and

parts output as NO or NC contacts.
