POINTS TO REMEMBER:
All names of authors should start with the
family name, followed by the first name.
For two authors, the second authors name
should be written with the first name first
and not with the family name.
For several authors, use the words et .al. ,
to mean many or several authors.
All titles of the books, magazines,
encyclopedia and newspaper articles should
be underlined.
Titles of topics of magazines, newspaper
articles and encyclopedia must be enclosed
in quotation marks.
Observe correct punctuation marks, such as
period, after the authors name, title of the
book, encyclopedia, magazines and
newspaper articles .
Place a comma after the authors family
name to separate it from the first name
and use it also to separate it from the name
of the publisher.
Types of Bibliographies
Modern Language Association (MLA)
typically used by those writing in the
liberal arts or humanities community.
It focuses on the author of the cited
source material, in order to help the
reader place him or her in the
appropriate historical and philosophical
context.
American Psychological Ass. (APA)

It is used more often in the social

sciences and is useful for citing from
journals and other such publications.
Its focus is more on the research
presented in the source and when it was
released, rather than the individuals
who conducted it.
