spread between countries.
Requirements are
included for health and
vaccination certificates
for travellers from
infected to non-infected
areas.

PLAGUE
an epidemic disease causing a high rate of mortality :
pestilence
SYMPTOMS:
- Feverand chills.
- Abdominal pain,diarrheaand vomiting.
HOW TO AVOID PLAGUE
Do not handle sick or dead animal
bodies.
Avoid rodents (mice, rats) and rodent
droppings.
Avoid insect bites by using an insect
repellent.
Eliminate fleas from your home.
CHOLERA
CHOLERA
Cholera is an acute diarrhoeal infection
caused by ingestion of food or water
contaminated with the bacteriumVibrio
cholerae.
CHOLERA
Rehydration is the first priority in the
treatment of cholera.
Vaccination may be of great help.
SYMPTOMS:
- Profusewatery diarrhea,vomiting, and
leg cramps.
YELLOW FEVER
YELLOW FEVER
A tropical viral disease affecting the liver
and kidneys, causing fever and jaundice
and often fatal. It is transmitted by
mosquitoes.
Headache, high temperature and muscle
avoid dehydration.
