Solar Renewable Energy Purchase -
HERC has prescribed the Solar RPO of 3% by the year 2021-22. Development of solar parks
through Saur Urja Nigam Haryana Ltd. (SUN Haryana). While in U.P. Minimum project size
should be 5 Mw. Project developers who are interested in selling energy generated from
Solar Power Plants to distribution utility of UPPCL. UPPCL sign PPA with successful bidders
for a period of ten years. Sale of energy to third party.
Ground Mounted power Projects-
Haryana Power Purchase Centre (HPPC) to invite bids through open competitive bidding
tenders for setting up SPPs by Independent power producers (IPPs). HPPC to purchase solar
power over and above the RPO obligation subject to a limit of 200 MW.
Rooftop power project
A total capacity of 1600 MW rooftop solar power plants shall be added by the year 2021-22.
