program, facilitators, resource persons and co-
participants;

2. identify the expected outputs and outcomes of


the training program; and

3. demonstrate understanding of the objectives of


the training program

Training Objectives

a. provide teacher-trainers with a concrete


understanding of the Grades 3 and 9
curriculum frameworks, learning standards and
competencies, assessment and teaching plans;
and
b. provide them with opportunities to acquire and
demonstrate the cognitive and affective delivery
of the curriculum and in their role as facilitators
of learning.

The training is composed of ten (10) sessions:

Session 0 is the levelling of expectations;

Session 7 is divided into four (4) parts which will


walk you through the four (4) quarters of the
Learners Material (LM) and Teaching Guide (TG);
and

Each session has outputs to accomplish.

Most of the tasks and activities are group-based:

Groups may vary according to the objective of


the session (e.g. by region, random, etc) ;

Each group must assign a leader, a secretary


and a reporter; and

Each group will set standards of professional


behavior while the sessions are going on.
