Transmission
Once we know the Abis configuration we also need to know if that is
supported by BTS hardware
We also need to know if we need hubs or protection
Transmission Units in UltraSite & Metrosite
Interconnects BTS`s
Connects other components of the network such as BSC`s, and other
BTS`s through the Abis interface.
Transmission media can be either
a radio link transmission or

E1/T1 wire line transmission

UltraSite and Metrosite BTSs support 16, 32 and 64 kbit/s data rates for
transceiver RF signalling via Abis interface
O&M signalling data rate can be 16, 32 or 64 kbit/s

to another radio indoor unit (FCRRI, FXC RRI, RRIC and FIU19)
Provides 2 Flexbus interfaces per unit
Capacity of Flexbus is SW selectable between 2 x 2 Mbit/s, 4 x 2 Mbit/s,
8 x 2 Mbit/s, and 16 x 2 Mbit/s
Supports grooming, branching and loop protection
Supports up to a distance of 300m with RG214 and 140m with RG223
for the connections to outdoor units
Power feed to radio via Flexbus cable
Connector type TNC, impedance of 50
PDH radio transmission
Cross connection in FXC RRI

Input to 2MCC is 32 x 2M (16 x 2M from each FB).

Input to 8kCC is 16 x 2M. i.e. 16 x 2M capacity is to be bypassed between FB1
and FB2 at 2MCC.
2MCC is part of channel interface and 8kCC is part of platform interface.
