WHAT ARE TAXES?
Taxes are mandatory contributions to the countries revenue.
HOW ARE TAXES COLLECTED?
Taxes are collected through purchases from stores,
restaurants, income tax, property tax and can come in the
form of GST and PST.
WHY DO WE NEED TO PAY TAX?
Taxes are mandatory to keep our country running. The
government officials draw their paychecks from our taxes,
public buildings and infrastructures such as subways,
libraries and community centers are all paid by the taxes we
pay to the government or The Canada Revenue Agency.
