I plan to use a chart similar to the one shown with clothes
pins on the sides with students names on them. The children will move up or down depending on their behavior. If they are misbehaving, they will move down. Each poor decision will move them down. If they improve their behavior, they will move up. When they have to think about it (i.e. their behavior or poor choice), children will fill out a form I have provided. Teachers choice will be an activity of my choosing. If the childs behavior continues to be unpleasant, then a note will be sent home. If I notice certain groups of children are continuing to be on the bottom of the chart, then the group as a whole will be doing an extra assignment inside the classroom with me during recess. Think About It Form What did I do that was wrong? Why did I do it? What can I do next time to make sure I do not do it again? What will I do now to move my name back up the chart?
