Before ART people with
HIV/AIDS only lasted a few
years. Their immune system

AIDS typically survive about
3 years
ART has extended the
survival rate of many people.
With ART people with
HIV/AIDS can now live for
decades. If people take their
medicine correctly and every
day they can expect to live a
normal life

gives your immune system a

have HIV, ART is highly
recommended. If left untreated,
HIV will attack the immune
system and eventually progress
to AIDS.
