When do you use the Simple

Future?

The future tense is used to tell what

"will" happen, or what "shall"
happen.

I will go to the beach next month.

Jirai la plage le mois prochain.
I shall write the letter next week.
Jcrirai la lettre la semaine
prochaine.
 How to form the Simple Future?

Regular verbs (ER, -IR) -add the endings to the

infinitive :
Je-ai
Tu-as
Il/Elle/On -a
Nous -ons
Vous -ez
Ils/Elles -ont

*With re verbs, drop the e before adding the

ending

She will copy (copier to copy)

Elle copiera

We will listen (couter to listen)

They will go out (sortir to go out)
