ABSTRACT

Liberia must move from the Subjunctive to the Declarative as a post conflict
renewal of the minds toward 2017 elections and beyond.
The 1847 Constitution of Liberia to the present, 169 years, is absolutely Racist,
Sexist, and Islamic Phobic. Therefore, it must be De-Racialized from its
Colonial experience. And the new Liberia towards 2017 elections must
conform with and transform to the 21st century global cultural dimension.
See Article V, Section 13 of the 1847 Constitution. It emphatically elucidates its
racial objectives with a right wing didactic and pedagogical constructionist
interpretations in perpetuity.
ABSTRACT

In a likelihood, present-day African peoples

are in no way invaders that come from
another continent.
Egyptological, Anthropological scientific
discoveries have shown AKIBULAN- Africa,
to be the cradle of humanity.

Black-African people-Liberian must now live

above the pre historic negativism-Decade
and half into the 21st century.
ABSTRACT

Challenges:
This paper challenges many dogmas of so-called social science, as well
as many underlying assumptions about racial issues and cultural
differences as disparities to human growth and development. Its essential
to articulate that if the human species originated from AKIBULAN-Africa,
we can transitively deduce that all peoples came from Africa; therefore,
racism is an insignificant element attributable to humankind. but not by
God, and I therefore submit to you in this honorable and reasonable
intelligent body that this must come to past.

This challenge is based on more than 169 years of research on the De-
Racialization of the Colonial and post-colonial Constitution of Liberian.
ABSTRACT

Base upon the above mentioned background, the objective of the paper is to:
(1) provide some conceptual frame works from impirical-historical roots
that precipitated the construction of the racist constitution of Liberia
from 1847 to present
(2) analyze some causes and effects dynamics of race and ethnic
relations of the minds behind the framers of the constitution.
(3) to conclude by appealing to the Liberian authorities , specifically this
must reflect in the CRC through Legislative Referendum, to de-racialize
the Liberian constitution , moving toward the 2017 Elections; which will
have a profound implication on race and ethnic relations as it relates to
Liberia in global affairs.
INTRODUCTION

We are now on the threshold of post conflict development in the

context of Truth and Reconciliation, restoration of peace, safety,
security, and democracy.
This, if managed humanistically as it relatively appears to be at
present, could become a major sea change in Liberia in the 2017
elections and beyond.
There are tasks in the affairs of us as Liberianstherefore this is a
great opportunity for us in particular to use this enabling and
conducive time to address constructively many of our
un-finished social, political, economic, ethnic, religious, constitutional
conflicts as a framework for social, sustainable developmental
stabilization in the first place as we move towards 2017 Elections.
INTRODUCTION

The Liberian Constitution must be (De-Racialized to allow all legitimate peoples with
specific emphasis on white people, to naturalize and own properties like Liberians
themselves who are naturalized citizens, inter-racial marriages, and property owners
in the U.S. and all over the world. This is necessary because there are many good
white people who have done many good things to many Liberians, to Africans, and
to the world in general. We can not reconstruct nor develop Liberia alone. Like
other African nations, Liberia needs help.Contemporary Liberians are not racist.
THE AFFECTS OF RACISM

This challenge is based on more than 169 years of

Liberias moral question on its participation in racism in
the highest superlative degree.

The fact that Liberias foundational supreme credential,

(i,e,) its constitution articulates to this, is a validation of
this subject; of course, makes Liberia no difference from a
pre- Apartheid South Africas policy, Jim Crow Laws of the
US South, and the Holocaust/ Black Holocaust in Nazi
Germany. This is an implicit hypocrisy to believe that
Liberia is an open nation to all, yet, closed-nation others.

Therefore, the objective of th is presentation is on a moral

ground of appeal for De-Racialization of the Colonial and
post-colonial Constitution of Liberia. Liberia is not a racist
nation. But if the constitution which is the supreme law of
the land is racist, thererore; Liberia is a racist nation.
THE AFFECTS OF RACISM

Base upon the above mentioned background, the major

objective of the paper is to:

(1) provide some conceptual frameworks from historical

roots that precipitated the construction of the racist
constitution of Liberia;
(2) to analyze some causes and effect dynamics of race
and ethnic relations of the minds behind the framers
of the constitution;
(3) To conclude by appealing to all Liberians, specifically
those so-called Liberian constitutional specialists and
authorities to reflect on the final Report on the
National Constitution Conference (NCC) and in the
anticipated Referendum, to De-racialize the Liberian
constitution from its historic social construction of
THE AFFECTS OF RACISM

This development, of course, will have a profound implication on the

De-colonization process, on the un-doing of the pre-Liberian 25-years
civil conflict mentality, and infusing into the body politics an
authentic True and Reconciliatory cultural of solidarity on the
Liberians minds, body, and soul, race and ethnic relations as it
relates to post conflict reconstruction, development, and as a
reflection of recollection of Liberias historic contribution to the UN in
global affairs and Liberian Nationalism moving towards 2017
THE AFFECTS OF RACISM

A clause in Liberia's constitution requiring

black ancestry in order to hold citizenship has
spurred debate on the nature of foreign
ownership of the land of Liberia, and in Africa
in general.

This constitution is actually saying that white

people can not become citizens and own land
in Liberia, period.
i
THE AFFECTS OF RACISM
Many Liberians insist that the clause must be changed, decrying
their country for being the only "legally racist" nation in the world.
Among those positive thinking Liberians are Dr. A.M Sirleaf, the
researcher, Winston Tubman, (Liberian Constitution and
President Obama), Dr. Konia T. Kolllehlon On Race, Citizenship,
and Property in Liberia, A Sociologists Point of View

By: The Perspective, Atlanta, Georgia

Others claim the clause protects Liberians from foreigners who

might otherwise take control of the country's vast natural
resources and pristine land.
THE AFFECTS OF RACISM

In the context of race and racism on the

continent of Africa, the question of who are
considered Africans was discussed among
many great African Nationalists, Black
Nationalists, and Pan-Africanists alike, from
the streets of continent and the Diaspora.
Among these nationalists were the late Dr.
Kwame NKrumah of Ghana, Julious Nyerere of
Tanzania, Ahmah Saku Toure of Guinea, and
contemporary scholar of Africa, Dr. Ali A.
Mazrui, Dr. Sulayman S. Nyang, and many
THE AFFECTS OF RACISM

Dr. Nkrumahs definition of who is an African was

spelled out his views on this subject early in his
political career. During a successful visit to the
President of Liberia, William V.S.Tubman, Dr.
NKrumah addressed himself to the racial question
and to the African identity crisis in these words I do
not believe in racialism or tribalism.
CONSTITUTION COMMITTEE PRESENTS
FINAL REPORT TO PRESIDENT SIRLEAF

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has received the final Report on

the National Constitution Conference (NCC). The report was
presented to the Liberian Leader by the Chair person on the
Constitutional Review Committee, Counselor Gloria Scott .
However the report contains none (Negro) cannot obtain
citizenship in Liberia august 18, 2015
THE AFFECTS OF RACISM

Dr. NKrumah followed up by saying that: The

concept of Africa for the Africans does not
mean that other races are excluded from it. No!
as he articulated, it only means that Africans
can and must govern themselves in their own
countries without imperialist or foreign
impositions.
THE AFFECTS OF RACISM

But that peoples of other races can remain on the Africans soil, carry
on their legitimate ad vocation, live on terms of peace, friendship, and
equality with Africans on their own soil (See Dr. Sulayman S. Nyang,
Islam, Christianity, and African Identity). You can also see Dr. Amos
M.D.Sirleaf: The Black Race, The African Continent, and The Ultimate
Necessity for the Development of Black Cultural Science (Blacology)
The 21st Century African System of Thought, 2000.
THE AFFECTS OF RACISM

Based upon these historic analysis, I joined other concerned and

culturally Diversified, ethnically sensitive, and pluralistic Liberians like
brother Winston Tubman, brother Konia T. Kolllehlon and many
others to appeal to fellow Liberians and friends of
Liberia to say Had the United States Constitution like that of
Liberia remained unchanged in its treatment of the race question,
Barrack Obamas historic achievement with which the whole world,
including Liberia, are proudly identified could not have happened".
The universal acclaim of
President Obama alone is
compelling reason why on the
issue of racial equality, Liberia
has no choice but to fall in line
with most of the rest of the
world.If Humanity originated
from Africa, we can logically and
transitively deduce that all
human beings are Africans;
Therefore Liberia, an African post
colonial champion for the
promotion of modern civilization
and freedom must change her
constitution to allow all the
human races like other nations
