Risk

is the chance or probability of harm is likely to


occur.

is the likelihood that a substance,a condition, a


situation, an event that will cause hazard, harm,
danger, illness or disease to a worker on his
health and safety at work; or may cause
significant effects and impacts to environment.

Risk can be positive and negative.

Risks Management Procedure
Decide who to carry out risk assessment.
Divide the works into groups, units.
Identify substances, conditions and environment at the work place.
Determine hazardous substances, conditions, machines,
equipment, wastes, pollutions.
Obtain information on the hazardous substances, machines,
chemicals, etc..
Inspect the work place, environment, internal and external.
Evaluate hazards and exposures.
Evaluate risks.
Identify actions and measures to overcome/reduce risks.
Record the assessments.
Implement OSHE controls programs.
Review the risks management programs and controls.
