AL Outer Conductor
Why Aluminum?
Because copper cost has increased significantly and remains unstable and the
cable technology has advanced decreasing the performance advantage of copper.
Aluminum cost stability Ability to hold price / Easier to Only when compared to copper
budget, less site theft cables
Lighter than Copper Less tower loading, lower cost Only when compared to copper
freight, easier to install cables

HELIAX FiberFeed
Project Description:
Scalable hybrid fiber solution for global deployment
Objective: Install effective power & fiber system for 3 to 4 RRUs with:
- Minimize cable count for installation cost savings
- One DC power pair for each RRU
- Two fiber pairs (4 fibers) to each RRU
- Easily adaptable to changes in RRU interface
- Scalable for expansion of RRU count
- Simple, low cost reconfiguration or repair near the RRU mounting area
Key Enablers:
1 cable supplies up to 4 RRUs (4 x8)
8 spare fibers (for repair or dual-tech RRU)
PIM certified
HELIAX 3 trunk cables feeds 12 RRUs (1 cable/sector)
Jumper
Protective
enclosure for
connections
Key Enablers:
- Use 3 Sector kits for a complete site solution
- Sectors can be different lengths (rooftops)
- Ensures network consistency
Protective
enclosure for
