 Imac Purpose

An Imac offers many purposes such as an interface for people to

process and gather information visually and aurally, a Musical DAW
(Digital Audio Workstation) to process the Data of MIDI inputs
(Musical Instrument Digital Interface) to create musical ensembles
and musical projects with the use of the Apple program Logic Pro.
Imacs are also well known for other various types of editing
software such as the program Photoshop which is photo editing
software often used by people within the photography area of work
or Web Designers/Magazine Editors. In conclusion Imacs are
essential if youre looking for an interface with loads of useful
editing software. The Imac Supports three different types of leads
such as USB, Audio Jack (3.5mm) and the IEC lead used to power
the Imac monitor.
M-Audio Oxygen 49 Midi Keyboard
The Oxygen 49 is used to create Midi data being sent from the
keyboard into your choice of DAW (Digital Audio Workstation)
and transpose the midi data and create music on your DAW
(Music software.) The Midi keyboard doesnt run off of a
power supply when connected to an Imac or PC and instead
utilizes input technology. The midi keyboard is a useful piece
of equipment for any frequent DAW user as it means its
easier to transpose data rather than creating music on a piano
roll. A Midi Keyboard uses USB connection making it an Input
only device.
 Senheiser Headphones
The headphones in the image are closed back which
means the outer part of the headphone cuffs have
pieces of plastic covering the backs of each of the
headphones. Closed back headphones are useful for
cancelling out any unwanted sounds surrounding you.
For Headphones there is only an output cable, however
the output cable isnt supplying power but it is is
supplying audio the headphones entirely reliant on the
audio output (3.5mm Headphone Jack.) The purpose of
headphone is listen to (and potentially isolate) certain
sounds in depth without unwanted noise coming
through.
 IMac Mouse
The IMac Mouse is used so that you navigate
your way through the interface. The mouse
runs off of data only (input) so it transmits
data to the interface (Imac) the lead that an
Imac mouse uses is a USB Lead.
 QWERTY Keyboard
A QWERTY keyboard is an a vital piece of equipment as it helps for easy
access with the interface, for example: in logic copy and pasting is often
used throughout a project, this can be made easy by using shortcuts on
the QWERTY keyboard by pressing Cmd and R to repeat the last recording
and there are other various features that are accessed frequently
throughout a logic project, like accessing the piano roll which can be
brought up by pressing P or the information bar which can be brought up
by pressing I. Keyboards are also useful for sending commands to your
PC/Mac through pressing letters to transfer data to your PC/Mac better
known as typing.
