Reflection

What is business communication? Business Communication is a way of sharing information between

people within an enterprise that is performed for the commercial benefit of the organization. It is also, a
process of sharing business knowledge in the market about products and their benefits. Business
communication cover entire process of business, like business email, products advertise, business letter,
marketing and selling.

In this Business Communication 2200, we learned many good expects of the business. At the beginning,
we learned for business writing style, which is helpful in our writing technique. We also learned different
between business and academic writing. Business writing should be in professional writing style which
is accurate, short and clear with prefect meaning, where everyone can understand quickly. It should be
universal style because business person is not only from one country or one area. At present, a business
may cover entire world. We learned many styles of communication from this class, like email writing,
letter, verbal communication, social media site and markets. The main thing I gain from this class is
important of grammar and punctuation with correct form of sentences.

Over all, I enjoy a lot in this class. I like to thanks Instructor Rachel Rawle, who made our summer
Business class full of joy and interesting.

KEY MESSAGES

communication campaign has a lot of information in very condensed

presentations. If the audience were to take away five key points, they should
be:
1. I know when and where to report child abuse.
2. I know what resources/outlets are available in my community.
3. I can decipher between the 4 different types of child abuse.
4. I feel confident enough to begin an open conversation with the children
in my life (no matter the relation.)
Summary
Child abuse is a global issue and health crisis.
Maltreatment can manifest in several different forms. Specialists have divided these into 4
separate categories: physical, sexual, emotional/psychological, and neglect.
According to the CDC, physical abuse behaviors include: hitting the child with an object,
other than on the buttocks; kicking the child; beating the child; and threatening the child
with a knife or gun.
Sexual abuse has a broad definition, which can involve rape and other forced sexual
acts. Emotional abuse is heavily influenced by culture and may be interpreted diversely
between them.
In general, emotional abuse consists of violent outbursts such as cursing, name-calling, and
belittling.
Neglect is when children are essentially left to fend for themselves; their basic needs are
unattended for.
Awareness and education are the first steps in prevention.

About Sex
Age By Age Guide
Birth to 2
Correct names for body parts.
Ages 3-5
o Private parts are where a bathing
suit covers and touching one
anothers is off limits.
o Reinforce correct names for body
parts.
Ages 6-9
o Basics of Puberty.
o Answer questions about sex as a
matter of fact.
Ages 9-12
o Reassure that symptoms of puberty
are normal.
o Physical and emotional risk of
becoming sexually active too
soon.
o STD transmission and pregnancy.
Ages 13-18
o What we see in todays sex
saturated media is not real.
o No one has the right to pressure
you.
o Contraception (dont assume that
they are going to have the same
values as you).
Talking to Kids about Pornography
The average age of first exposure to
pornography previously was 11-13. With
todays access to smart devices, some
researchers are finding that the first
exposure is closer to 8-11.

offering obfuscated explanations for
online behavioryou ought to talk.
In general, outright prohibition
doesnt work.
