Ten Cyber Security Requirements
Authorized operations: Perform operations in customers' networks only after obtaining
1 written authorization from customers and remain within the scope of customer
authorization.
Contents of communications: Don't collect contents of original communications without
2
the consent of end users.
Data transfer: Don't transfer customers' network data (including personal data) out of
3
Oman Area without customers' authorization for exemptions.
Data protection: Delete or destroy all customers' network data in your possession if
4 customer authorization expires. Don't disclose or disseminate customers' network data
(including accounts and passwords).
Virus killing: Scan and remove viruses before you connect a computer or storage device
5 to customers' networks. Ensure use of latest Antivirus in all devices, machines and
equipments before connecting to network.
Remote access: Dont initiate remote access to networks in Oman unless authorized by
6
customer with formal approval process.
Account management: Don't use unauthorized accounts. Be cautious when using the
7 administrator account and transfer the account to customer within the expected time
frame.
Software channels: Use versions, patches, licenses, tools, and other software that have
8
been officially released by the company.
Timely reports: Report any cyber security issue to your supervisor immediately upon
9
discovery.
