countries, or our own custom geo coding weve got to see our data on a map.

Tree Maps

To show lot of information in a very small amount of area

Useful when we have different measures and dimensions and when we want to see the
most important ones
Above chart depicts how much of profit was contributed by different product categories
across different regions. Left to right the profit % reduces and regions are grouped by color.

-1-
Packed Bubbles

Similar to Tree Maps which is useful in depicting lot of information in a very small amount of

Waterfall

Waterfall charts are great, especially for visually showing the contribution of parts to a whole.
The waterfall chart is normally used for understanding how an initial value is affected by a series
of intermediate positive or negative values.

-9-

Control charts are great way to show what things are in control and what things are out of
control.
Uses upper control limit and lower control limit to show whether a measure is preforming within
the expected limits or not
- 12 -
Highlight Table

Highlight tables take heat maps one step further. In addition to showing how data intersects by
using color, highlight tables add a number on top to provide additional detail.

- 13 -
Bar Chart

Bar charts are effective when you have numerical data that splits nicely into different categories
so we can quickly see trends within the data.

- 14 -
Line Chart

Line charts connect individual numeric data points. The result is a simple, straightforward way to
visualize a sequence of values. Their primary use is to display trends over a period of time.
