What should we call these new students of today? Some refer to them as the N[for Net]gen or
D[for digital]gen. But the most useful designation I have found for them is Digital Natives . Our
students today are all native speakers of the digital language of computers, video games and the
Internet.
So what does that make the rest of us? Those of us who were not born into the digital world but
have, at some later point in our lives, become fascinated by and adopted many or most aspects of
the new technology are, and always will be compared to them, Digital Immigrants

SITUACIN COTIDIANA

El PLE es el conjunto de herramientas, fuentes de informacin,

conexiones y actividades que cada persona utiliza de forma
asidua para aprender.
(Adell y Castaeda, 2010, pg. 23)

Un entorno de aprendizaje es un lugar en el que los aprendices

pueden trabajar juntos y apoyarse unos a otros mientras usan una
variedad de herramientas y recursos de informacin en su
bsqueda guiada de metas de aprendizaje y actividades de
solucin de problemas.
(Wilson, 1995, pg. 4).

Es inherente al ser humano a lo largo de toda su vida y en todo
momento.
Es una actividad inherentemente social y dialgica.
Est mediado por herramientas y signos.
Se fundamenta en el hecho de que las personas piensan y
aprenden ms cuando estn motivadas.
Ahora se puede acceder de forma rpida y sencilla a mucha
informacin.
Ahora, la informacin se puede comentar, recrear y debatir con
otras personas.
