STEWARDSHIP
3 BASIC WAYS WE USE OUR
FINANCES IN THE LORD:

1. Tithing
2. Resource Sharing
3. Almsgiving
WHY SHOULD WE DO THE
ABOVE?
1.We acknowledge that all belongs to God.
2.We are merely stewards pf what belongs
to God.
3.We owe our prosperity to God.
4.We should use our finances (wealth and
possessions) to glorify God and participate
in the spread of His Kingdom.
THE PRACTICE OF
CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP
1.Almsgiving
a) Giving money or goods to the needy and poor both
in and out of ones community.
b) Alms are given over and above tithes (not the be
deducted from ones tithes)
c) Psalm 41:2-4; Proverbs 19:17; Matthew 6:1-4
d) Usually the needs of the members are met through
resource sharing ex: interest-free loans.
e) There are time they could not repay the loan, the
best way to serve them could be outright alms.

CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP
2. Resource Sharing
a) Sharing our material resources to meet the specific
needs of our brothers and sisters.
b) Direct loans between members are discouraged.
When a borrower is unable to pay a loan, personal
relationships are disturbed or even damaged.
c) Resource sharing may be done thru:
- Donation to ANCOP and Social Development
Programs
- One Mission Fund (OMF)

3. Tithing
a) The tithe consists of ten percent (10%) of an
individuals income after taxes from whatever legal
source ex: wages, rents, investments, business,
etc.
b) The tithe is given to the immediate body of Christ
of which one is a part, and where one draws
support for ones Christian life.
c) It is given to support the work of the Lord
d) In CFC, your tithes will be used for

3. Tithing
How to respond to tithing can be a measure of our
spiritual growth. It reflects on the following areas of our
life:

d. Our faith
e. Our conversion

3. Tithing
-It is important to give not because of the
need for our money, but because it is the
right thing to do.
-Focus not so much on the 10% but on the
90% we keep for ourselves!
-Remember, it is Gods money. He owns it
all, but He allows us to keep the bulk of it

3. Tithing
-What is we dont have enough?
Story of widows mite: Luke 21:1-4
She gave out of her poverty
In Malachi, God promises that He will open the
floodgates. Got will not only provide, but He will be
very generous.
We often do not experience Gods bounty because
we ourselves are not generous.
There might be situations where we really feel we

-Where to give our contributions?
Directly to the CFC Global Mission Center or office.
Official receipt will be given.
Through your household head. Ask for receipt.
At the tithes table normally provided during our
community gatherings.
CONCLUSION
Giving our financial support to the work of CFC is
an expression of gratitude to God. If we love God,
we need to love our neighbors as well. Giving
back to God part of His gift to us is a reflection of
our concern for others. Is also indicates the
condition of our hearts and the extent of our
conversion in the Lord. Matthew 6:21 says,
Remember, where your treasure is, there your
heart is also.
