Different Roles In The

Community
Every community must
have a types of roles to
become successful.
Three default community roles that cannot be
deleted.
Community Owner- Automatically given to the
creator of the community and control over the
community.
Community Administrator- They can administer
the community.
Community Member- Roles given to the
members of the society.
5 TYPES OF ROLES IN A
COMMUNITY
The Host- The hosts job is to put on a great event,
maintain the peace, and clean up after the party is
over.

The Facilitator- The facilitator genuinely wants to make


sure that everyone is okay. Willing to share information
with people.

The Popular one- This is the most important person in


a community. (Tiny boring and listless community)
The instigator- Engages in a conversations
just to take the other position. They are pure
entertainment. They keep things interesting.

The voyeur- They dont cause problems.


They help the community. They attend
meetings.
List of roles that
everyone must know
1.Learn about the community.-
Close observation of the
community provides significant
insights in to the strengths and
weaknesses of the community.
2. Listen to community members.- You wont
be able to learn everything by yourself.

3. Bring people together to develop a shared vision.

4. Assess community assets and resources, needs and
issues.-
To able to work effectively In your community you need to
gather some information about your community. (SWOT)

5. Help community members to recognize and articulate


areas of concern and their causes.- Community members
will define the issues and the process for resolving them,
which might be quite different to the experts.
6. Establish a vehicle for change. In most
circumstances it will be necessary to create a vehicle
for change for an organizational change, which in most
cases will start as a steering committee.

7. Develop an action plan.- Creating a strategic plan.

8. Implement action plan.- This is the heart of


initiative, in which financial and human resource,
including volunteers and community members are
mobilized to take action.
9. Evaluate results of action.- If one is concerned with increasing
peoples capacity to participate fully and gain some degree of control
over their lives, then research methods themselves can be part of this
method.

10. Reflect and regroup.- Celebrate on your success and reflect on any
disappointments that might have occurred.
