the fitness of something for a
particular purpose. Given a
certain need, and in the light of
the resources available, which

Evaluation is, then concerned with relatives
merit. There is no absolute good or badonly
degrees of fitness for the required purpose.
In any kind of evaluation, the decision finally
made is likely to be the better for being a
systematic check of all the important variables.
Thats why, evaluating materials can make a good
teaching materials because it can be better
than just writing it.
Evaluation is basically a matching process :
matching needs to available solutions.

possibly revealing existing materials that can
