 Process Knowledge : The most economical plant layout is that
in which the spacing of the main equipment is placed in such a
way that it minimises the interconnecting pipe work and structural
steel work and suit the process flow. This equipment layout is very
important because this is used for the execution of plant. The
layout engineer must understand the process of the plant to
optimize the plant layout.

Operation & Maintenance Knowledge : Plant layout should be

safe and economical. Layout engineer must know equipment
handling flammable or volatile liquids causing flammable
conditions or type of handling arrangement required for daily
operation and future maintenance.

 Plant 3D Modelling : Software enablesplantdesigners to
efficiently produce final executable documents like BOM,
Isometric etc. In addition, it will help to check interfaces (battery
limit) of different packages and minimize the site execution
delay due to clash.
