from pain. Pain can be chronic or acute, such as post-surgical pain.7
Pain management is one of the most challenging goals for medical providers.
Pain that is not managed increases in severity over time, and it eventually
enhances the disease-associated psychological and physical deterioration,
hindering the quality of life.5

Music is the universal language. It can set the tone, create an atmosphere,
change anyones mood, and be a helpful remedy and therapeutic intervention
for certain diagnoses and conditions.6
In short, it is used to treat patients of all ages and numerous symptoms in
relation to physical pain, emotional and spiritual well-being, and cognitive
health.6
