Exporting and Importing Device
Information
Exporting and importing
The machines device information can be set by an administrator
and exported to an external device as a device settings
information file. Importing the exported device settings
information file can be done to restore the device settings on a
machine or transfer the device settings to another machine.

Encryption
Device information is always encrypted.
AES 256-bit encryption is used.
The encryption key can contain up to 32 alphanumerical characters. If
the configuration for the encryption key setting is skipped, an
encryption key will not be applied.
An encryption key must be set to encrypt the data. Enter a key by
using the soft keyboard.

Information
How to check the log file
Logs are created when exporting and importing. If an export or import fails,
the log file is investigated to troubleshoot the cause. Attach the log file
when escalating issues.

File format .csv
Character code ASCII
Display language Coincides with the setting of the display language of the operation panel.
The display language applies only to the item name.
Encryption Log files are not encrypted.
Location of the log file The log file is stored in the same location as the settings information file.
Log filename Filename of the export log: export_[yyyymmddHHMMSS][Serial
number ].log
Filename of the import log: import_[yyyymmddHHMMSS][Serial
number ].log
*Time use the local time.
Time of recording Logs will be recorded when the import or export process is finished.

Contents of the log file
- Example of a log file:

Item Name Description


Version of the log file Version of the log file.
Type of processing (ExecType) Type of processing:
- IMPORT
- EXPORT
Processing time and date (Date) Time and date for when the file is outputted:
- yyyy-mm-dd-HH:MM:SS
Serial number of the device Serial number of the device that performed the processing.
(SerialNo)
PnP name (PnP) PnP name of the device that performed the processing.

Item Name Description
Model ID of the device (ModelID) Model ID of the device that performed the processing.
(the design team will use this for their investigation.)
Destination of the device Destination of the device that performed the processing.
(Destination)
Log filename (FileName) Filename of the exported file.
Log file ID (FileID) ID of the export file.
Item identifier (Identifier) Show the order to be printed when the export and some of the settings in
the import failed to process. In addition, information about when the
process failed is outputted at the bottom of the log file.
Total number of items (TotalItem) Total number of items for exporting and importing.
Number of successful items Total number of items that were successful during export or import.
