The 1987 Philippine Education
Our Constitution
provides the legal
basis of
education.
The Department of
Education, Culture
and Sports
(DECS/DepEd) is
the principal
agency of the
Philippine
Government that is
responsible for
education and
manpower
development.
The state shall
protect and
promote the right
of all citizens to
quality education
at all levels and
shall take
appropriate steps
to make such
