Introduction
Educational Management Information System(EMIS) is a
web-based(www.fgei-cg.gov.pk) software to collect data and
generate useful reports

It was introduced in FGEIs in Nov, 2014

EMIS provides a platform to link all stakeholders


(Institutions, Regional Offices and the Directorate) on one
page.

Present Functionalities of EMIS
Official website of the Directorate works both for the
purpose of providing data/information to
common public and as a portal named EMIS
which is an intranet of FGEIs.

Website used to make common data available to the


general public such as Job Announcement, Tender
details, scholarship results and display important
notification etc.

EMIS provides a channel to share the common data


amongst Institutions, Regional Offices and the
Directorate such as Building & Infrastructure details,
Staff/Vacancy statements, Student Enrolment,
Institution Results etc.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Achievements
The deployment of web portal www.fgei-cg.gov.pk showing the following
entities on a click:
- Building Map of all the institutions
- Building & Infrastructure details of institutions such as no. of class
rooms, science laboratories, library details, electric water coolers etc.
- State of Furniture & IT Equipment such as number of student chairs,
office chairs, number of rostrum, no of computers, number of printers
etc.
- Category/Gender wise student enrolment
- Teachers’ workload
- Institution Results
- Staff/Vacancy Statement
- Transfer Requests and Seniority Complaints can be lodged through
EMIS
- Last but not least; A Quarterly booklet of Data provided by all the Region
Offices having Annexures from A to V (having data of their ROs) has
been computerized and available on EMIS.

Future plan
Smart School Concept:
- Develop “Paper Less Environment” at Schools & Colleges
- Develop appropriate attitudes of School mgmt. & parents in
the use of tech to change their cultural beliefs
- SMS alerts to the parents about the presence of Student
and his results etc.
- Get Upto-date state of the Institutions for “Informed Decisions”
- Make triangular coordination amongst instns, parents & Dte
- Provide a channel to parents for interactive coordination
- Improve Teaching, Learning & Management System of Insts
- Have electronic Monitoring & Evaluation System

Future plan
E-Office: Objective of E-Office is to customize and implement the
Basic Common applications (E-Office) to a “Less Paper Environment” by
automating all standard business processes
