 BACKGROUND

Could not be denied that coal mining can degrade the quality of
the environment over time. This of course can be detrimental to the
community around the mining area. As for the problems arising from
coal mining, among others, soil balance disorders, decreased land
productivity, soil density be increased, erosion and sedimentation, and
disturbance of flora and fauna .
Thus it is necessary stage of mining activities (reclamation)
where the project was to improve the land that has been damaged.
 FORMULATION OF THE PROBLEM

Issues that will be examined in this study is :

1. How to stage land arrangement on coal mined lands at PT. Marunda

Grahamineral?

2. How does setting a slope on mined land reclamation of coal to be at

the PT . Marunda Grahamineral?

 RESEARCH PURPOSES

The purpose of this study is :

1. To know How to stage land arrangement on coal mined lands at

PT. Marunda Grahamineral.

2. Analyzing how the setting a slope to reduce erosion on mined land

reclamation of coal to be at the PT . Marunda Grahamineral.

 SCOPE OF PROBLEM

In the implementation of this final project study, there are

limitations that problem :

1. In this case study only discusses land arrangement on coal

2. Did not discuss the issue of reclamation costs

 LITERATURE REVIEW

1. Stages of Coal Mining Activities

In general stages coal mining operations is :

a. Land Clearing
b. Top Soil
c. Stripping Overburden
d. Overburden Removal
e. Excavation and Loading
f. Hauling
g. Reclamation
2. Definition of Reclamation

Reclamation definition according to the Minister of Energy and

Mineral Resources ( ESDM ) No. 07 of 2014 is an activity conducted

throughout the stages of mining enterprises to restructure, recover, and

improve the quality of the environment and ecosystems in order to

function in accordance designation.

3. Land Arrangement

Land arrangement is done to improve the condition of the landscape

natural. Land stewardship by the Minister of Energy and Mineral

Resources No. 7 year 2014, that is :

a. Land Surface Structuring

b. Backfilling of mined land

c. Spreading Soil Rooting Zone

d. Erosion control and water management

 RESEARCH METHODS

1. Location and Accomplished Regions

PT. Marunda Grahamineral are contract holders Coal Cooperation

Agreement (PKP2B) Generation II, which was signed on August 14,

1994. The administration area PKP2B PT. Marunda Grahamineral located

in District Laung Tuhup, Murung Raya Greater, Central Kalimantan

Province.

 To reach the location permit areas Mining PT. Marunda Grahamineral
can route as follows :
1. From the city of Palangka Raya to Muara Teweh with the land trip for
± 10 hours, traveling as far as ± 300 Km.
2. From Muara Teweh then the journey can be continued through the
waterway along the Barito River to the village of Rice Belange
districts Laung Tuhup by speedboat for ± 2 hour. From Jamut journey
continues by land as far as 40 km to the north toward Menyango
Camp which is the site office of PT. Marunda Grahamineral.
