 Recommended Curriculum
 Written Curriculum
 Taught Curriculum
 Supported Curriculum
 Assessed Curriculum
 Learned Curriculum
 Hidden Curriculum
Recommended Curriculum

 Presented by experts. Proposed or


implemented by scholars or
professional organizations.

Examples: K to 12 implementations, DepEd and


CHED implementations
Written Curriculum
(Overt/ Explicit Curriculum)
 Simply which is written as part of formal
instructions of schooling.
 May refer to lesson plan, syllabus or others
that support teaching that is overtly
chosen.
 Designed or reviewed by experts and
subject teachers.
Taught Curriculum

 Implementation of written curriculum.


 Whatever is taught, activities done in
classroom to implement learning.
 It is demonstrated and contains
different teaching and learning styles.

Examples: Teachers give lectures, group works,


laboratory experiments
Supported Curriculum

 Instructional materials that supports


and help the implementation of
curriculum that enables student to
become life long learners.

Examples: Textbooks, Internet, Applications,


Software presentations and files
Assessed Curriculum

 Of which is tested and evaluated in


order to know if students is
progressing.

Examples: Quizzes, Mid-term, Final-term


Learned Curriculum

 What students actually learned and that


is measured.
 Can be measured by learning outcomes
and is achieved by students from
learning objectives.

Examples: Results of Exam


Hidden Curriculum

 Side effect of an education


 Unwritten, unplanned, unintended
values a student learns at school.

Examples: Interactions with peers, teachers,


adults; exposures to different races and kinds of
people; behaviours of what is acceptable and
unacceptable
