The comparison of short adjectives:

Adverbs
Modify:

• -verbs
• -adjectives
• -other adverbs

• (Verb) She speaks slowly.

• (Adjective) As you get older you, more careful you become.

• (Adverb) He drives the most safely.


Adverbs form from adjectives:
ADJECTIVE+ LY = ADVERB
for example: happy (adj) – happily (adv)

*friendly= adjective -> in a ………way= adverb

for example: in a friendly way

**adjectives ending in –ic add -ally instead of –ly,

for example: sarcatic - sarcatically

***FAST, HARD - same form adjective and adverb

The car is fast.

She writes fast.
