A Brief Overview

LF Log Grapples Sorting Grapples

Millyard Grapples West Coast Grapple

Standard Features
All LF log grapples use forged tines. Grapples up to and including category 60
include tine width adjustment and tine float. LF Log grapples can be used to
handle round logs or stacked lumber.
LF grapples can be ordered with non-adjustable tines if desired.
A “lockout kit” can be purchased at any time to disable tine float.

Tine width adjustment allows the grapple to Tine float allows each tine to raise and lower
handle a variety of different width materials independently to help compensate for uneven ground
Standard Features
All log grapples over category 60 come standard with fixed width, non-floating tines.
Rockland Log Grapples are available in three
different styles

Standard Features
Narrow backframe widths allow the grapple to pass between stanchions
on a log truck and between dividers of sorting bunkers.
Standard Features
Reinforced pivot points. Greased
through the cylinder and the pivot
housing, not the pins

Rockland Sorting Grapples are
available in two different styles

SG Sorting Grapple

SGG General Purpose Sorting Grapple

SG Sorting Grapple
The capacity rating, typically measured in square feet, is determined by
the end area of the grapple when the clamp tip and tine tips are in line.
SG Sorting Grapple
Large rounded clamp designed to “pull” logs into the backframe to achieve a full load.

Dump angle typically increased to make truck unloading more efficient.

The Sorting Grapple can be ordered with an optional kicker clamp

The kicker is used to make higher stacks by allowing the grapple to

unload without being dumped over. The loader must be equipped
with a 4th hydraulic function in order to use a kicker clamp.
SGG General Purpose Sorting Grapple
The General Purpose Sorting Grapple has a straight clamp design ideal for handling and
sorting. A small minimum clamp area can be obtained for handling single logs. This
grapple also has slightly longer tines than the Sorting Grapple.
Standard Features

Wide clamp and backframe

for maximum load control

Dual rear-mounted
cylinders

Tine wear plates

Replaceable heel plates

Replaceable tine tips
Optional Features
High Capacity Millyard Grapples are available upon request. The grapple
size and capacity is determined on a case by case basis.

Can be ordered with replaceable

loader points on end of tines
Standard Features
The widest of all the logging grapples. Specifically designed to handle large
diameter and high density tree length logs. Available with single wide clamp that
closes between the tines, or dual independent clamps that close on top of the tines.
