Introduction
• This is an assignment my Professor assigned me. The scenario is that I am a
Human Resource Director of a large company with approximately 500
employees. The board has asked me to select the 10 most important training
categories and to create a 2-year training schedule.
What is Gap
Analysis ?
• Gap analysis is distance between
where an organization is with its
employee capabilities and where it
needs to be .
Different Learning Styles
• Make it Personal: • Train to Retain:
• At our company we use the one-on-one

• Improve
mentoring.
• Traditional classroom learning.

Training Delivery Considerations

Transfer of Training
• This occurs when
trainees actually use on
the job what they have
learned and maintain
use of the learned
material over time.
After
training…
• Provide job aids and performance
support system.
• Create an environment that allows time
to practice new skills.
• Engage managers and peers in coaching,
evaluation, and feedback.
• Provide refresher and summary material
to enhance recall of the learning.

External Training
Is it right for the Company?
• An outside perspective is one of the main benefits of external training; an impartial professional may
offer a new way of approaching your business that you have not previously considered.
• External courses are delivered by professionals that are skilled at not only at the subject of the
training, but also at teaching and have likely learned effective techniques to ensure that the training is
properly received
• But on the other hand , external trainers can be pretty expensive; one day courses start at about $500
dollars. This may not be a good cost effective solution for our employees or our company.

E- Learning Face to Face

E-Learning
My recommendation is…

Face to face training. Because

my self included, I am a
visionary learner. For the
employees to see the training
, how a human being is
teaching it can further there
success on what there being
trained.
Training Schedule

On the next slide is a 2-year training schedule with topics, dates

and even the learning format that it will be taught.

Conclusion
• Being the director of Human Resources, one of my many jobs is to improve
the performance of employees in an organization, by making sure each
employee has the correct and appropriate training to complete the
organization's goals.
• By creating this slideshow for you today, it covers everything from the
different learning styles to having a schedule filled out of informational
trainings to do for here in the workplace.
