patients act the way they do.
• Speech Clarity: you must be able to speak clearly so
your patient can understand you.

comprehend the speech of your patient.

your patient and know the ideas that they are presenting.

that has gone wrong or is likely to go wrong.

or hospitals, others in their private office and set
their own hours. They usually set their hours
based on their clients needs. Those who are
employed in the hospitals may work shifts
compared to others.

• Employment for counselors is


expected to grow more rapidly than the average
other occupations. There will be more job
opportunities for those who graduate.
• Get an understanding of who your clients is
as a person by interviewing them and
studying their history.
• Counsel individuals on: Stress, alcohol
abuse, behavior/personality problems or
family struggles.
• Discuss the treatments of problems with
your clients
• Write reports on them

therapist may be on their feet all day working
with their clients.

faster than average. Job opportunities should be
good, especially for occupational therapists
