Jatinangor is one of the icon of education in West Java which has
four famous universities as Padjajaran University, Bandung
Institute of Technology, IPDN, and IKOPIN. But as we know this
icon of education have a lot of rubbish everywhere.
 The reason why there is a lot of rubbish not only come from
student, but also there’s no awareness from the people in this
environment. Rubbish gives several environmental impacts for
humans and environment. The impact for human is the decline in
the level of health. Besides that, rubbish can also reduce aesthetic,
smell bad. Rubbish can also affect the environment, both of the
ecosystem of water and terrestrial ecosystem.
The result of this condition can cause natural disaster as flood
and landslide. Such as landslide that occured on March 18th
2016 at Senior High School 1 Jatinangor. Therefore, need for
hygiene awareness by the whole community and student in
Jatinangor. There are many impacts of rubbish for us and our
environment. This is also our responsbility to help the
government to solve the problem of rubbish and reduce the
impact. We can change the rubbish become material which has
economical values or we can process the rubbish to be the
material that was not harmful to the environment. Stand up and
keep our enviroment clean.
That rubbish is the reason why Jatinangor had bad infrastructure
and destroy the environment.

This is the view of
environment in
some region in
Jatinangor that
burned by the
community and it
may cause air
pollution too. As
we know that is so
harmful to public
health.
 However, picking up
the trash is not enough.
It should be separated
into organic-inorganic
to make it easier to
recycle.
 Therefore, the concern of
some environment is all we
need. Padjadjaran University
organized some study about
environment caring and it’s
named OKK. This is so
helpful for some region cause
it may fix its environment,
increasing resource, and
recycle some rubbish.
One of the activities that we did in OKK is picking up trash so
the environment becomes more clean and orderly.
